Behind Closed Doors

Behind closed doors

You’re mocking me

I raise my voice, you raise your hand

It’s not helping you, it’s not helping me

At an impasse we stand.

You looked ahead, I looked far back.

I cringe when I recall.

I was in a pool of pain.

And you chose to watch me fall.

Behind closed doors

You’re mocking me

I thought you were as above as I am  beyond

But you turned left and I turned right

I stood alone, you stood by

I was gathering courage from someplace far

But you were there, wishing upon a star.

Fear Factor.
